MY APPROACH
PSYCHODYNAMIC
THERAPY
Psychodynamic therapy is an insight-oriented approach that provides a pathway for the development of a deeper understanding and connection with oneself and others. The goal of psychodynamic therapy is to understand the underlying cause of one’s emotional distress and to uncover unhelpful patterns of behavior and/or reoccurring relationship issues. Psychodynamic therapy emphasizes the importance of the relationship between patient and therapist. It uses self-exploration and introspection to foster awareness, personal growth, and positive change.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THEAPY
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a goal oriented, problem-solving approach that focuses on exploring an individual's relationship to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The goal of CBT is to help individuals gain tools needed to change unhelpful patterns of thinking or harmful beliefs that may be causing difficulties in their life.
MINDFULNESS TECHNIQUES
Mindfulness Techniques are useful skills that assist people in becoming more focused and grounded in the present moment. Mindfulness practices help individuals slow down and manage everyday stressors that accompany the fast-paced lives so many of us live.
